The first World Low Carbon and Eco-economy Conference and Technical Exposition opened in Nanchang on November 17. It was organized by National Development and Reform Committee, Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China, Ministry of Finance,  Ministry of Environmental Protection, Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, State Property Management Commission of the State Council and Jiangxi Provincial People's Government. More than 1300 guests at home and abroad gathered in Nanchang and discuss low carbon development.
