Recently, the Examination Business Management Department of the Patent Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration released the “Compilation of Typical Cases and Experience Practices of Patent Pre-examination” at the “2026 Patent Pre-Examination Quality Improvement Training Course”. The case “Building a New Model of ‘Industry Orientation + Full-Chain Empowerment + Collaborative Transformation’ to Empower the High-Quality Development of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry” submitted by the Intellectual Property Protection Center of Nanchang City was successfully selected.

In recent years, the Intellectual Property Protection Center of Nanchang City has focused on the construction of a leading province in traditional Chinese medicine and the modernization of key industrial chains in Nanchang’s manufacturing industry under the “8810” action plan. It has established a service model of “industry orientation + full-chain empowerment + collaborative transformation”, breaking the patent authorization deadlock through protective mining and significantly shortening the patent authorization cycle through the pre-examination approach, breaking down the barriers to transformation through the collaboration of government, industry, university, research and application, having effectively defused the risk of “loss of rights upon disclosure”, and accelerated the realization of intellectual property value. Up to now, our city has provided precise services to strategic scientific and technological forces in traditional Chinese medicine such as Jiangxi University of Chinese Medicine, China Resources Jiangzhong Pharmaceutical, Jemincare Group, and Huirun Pharmaceutical, facilitating the rapid authorization and transformation of hundreds of high-quality patents, and empowering the high-quality development of the traditional Chinese medicine industry throughout the province.

Next, the Intellectual Property Protection Center of Nanchang City will continue to optimize the patent pre-examination service model, constantly improve the quality and efficiency of patent pre-examination services, fully implement the 2.0 version of the “8810” action plan, and provide solid intellectual property support for accelerating the construction of the Aviation City, Automotive city, Optoelectronic City, etc., and building a more resilient and higher-level modern industrial system.
