updated on: 2026-03-09

On March 8th, at the construction site of the No. 2 tunnel of Changbei Airport Station on the Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway in Nanchang, with the completion of the pouring of the last slab of top slab concrete, the entire tunnel project of the Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway was fully connected, and thus all the track-laying channels along the entire line were opened up.

The Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway is an important part of the Beijing-Hong Kong (Taiwan) channel in the “Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals” high-speed railway main channels of the country’s “Medium and Long-Term Railway Network Plan”. The line is 138 kilometers long and designed to run at a speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

After the completion and operation of the Nanchang-Jiujiang High-speed Railway, it will be of great significance for our province to further integrate into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, support the implementation of the development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and promote the high-quality development of the economy and society along the line. By then, transportation between Nanchang and Jiujiang will be more convenient. Nanchang Changbei International Airport will form a modern comprehensive transportation hub integrating various transportation modes such as airplanes, high-speed railways, metro lines, buses and taxis, making passengers’ travel more efficient and convenient.
