In order to practically strengthen agricultural disaster prevention and reduction, not to miss the farming season for agricultural production, Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued an emergency notice on agricultural production.

It was pointed out in the notice that all places should be fully aware of the importance and urgency of prevention of heavy precipitation to the guarantee for agricultural production at present, establish the concept of “disaster reduction means production increase”, further clarify duties, implement responsibilities, coordinate organization, leadership, communication, dispatching, investigation and guidance, practically focus on responses and solutions, emphasize the reduction of disaster impact, and ensure the orderly advancement of agricultural production in Spring. Departments of agriculture and rural affairs of each county/district shall practically strengthen the communication and linkage with departments of meteorology, water resources, emergency, etc., keep a close eye on weather tread, enhance the monitoring of and response to agricultural disasters, make preventive measures, well prepare in advance, carry out relevant on-call system as stipulated, further consolidate monitoring dispatching, report disaster information in a timely and accurate manner, endeavor to take the initiative in preventing and reducing disasters, issuing immediate weather warnings and farm advice, and remind farmers to practically strengthen safety awareness and risk prevention consciousness.
